Not my modifications but some worth considering. Really like these galleys. Sorry, don't know who they belong too but nice workmanship.
These are two different Macgregor 25's.
Also below is Jim Hall's swim ladder
This came from Jim Hall over on www.trailersailor.com GREAT mod.
I have never tried to get in my boat from the water. I always figured I would have to climb the outboard motor to get back in the boat. There is considerable freeboard on the Windrose 18 so getting in from the side would be impossible. I decided I needed a swim ladder, went to West Marine OUCH! Over $150 for a few pieces of tubing and plastic! Cheap as I am I decided to make one myself.
The steps and frame are wood with the holes drilled over size and filled with resin and re-drilled to 1/4" Then a thin coat of resin and several coats of Rust-Oleum Satin White paint. The folding step is part of the aluminum frame off of an old stadium seat. I used all stainless steel hardware. Tested it by standing on the folding ladder and it didn't bend or break anything. It might be nice to take a swim sometime and not have to worry about how to get back on board! Jim Hall
